Roulette Rules
In the early 1800s, roulette was brought into the U.S.where, to further increase house odds, a second zero, "00", wasintroduced. (In some forms of early American roulette the double-zero wasreplaced by an American Eagle.) In the 1800s, roulette spread all over bothEurope and the U.S., becoming one of the most famous and most popular casinogames. Some call roulette the "King of Casino Games", probably becauseit was associated with the glamour of the casinos in Monte Carlo. Each player isassigned different color of chip, allowing the dealer differentiate bets andmatch them to the right players.chips are worthless at the other tablesin the same casino, so do not bother trying to stack them under your blackjackchips or anything foolish like that. Roulette is a casino and gambling game. A croupier turns a round roulette wheel which has 37 or38 separately numbered pockets in which a ball must land. If a player bets on a single number and wins, the payout is35 to 1. The table layout consists of areaswhich represent a number or series of numbers. The main goal of the game is to bet on the slot where theroulette ball falls. The game uses a special wheel, a betting layout, andchips. The wheel is divided into 38 (American) or 37 (European) sections, eachof which has walls to hold a small ball where it lands after the wheel is spun. The sections are numbered from 1 to 36, (half red and half black, half odd andhalf even) plus a green section marked 0. European wheels have only the 0 greensection. American wheels have an additional green section marked 00. Forthis reason, Roulette is not as popular in United States casinos as it is inEurope. Oneof the thing you should know is how the table minimum works. If you play black-red, odd/evenor high-low, you must place the table minimum for each & every bet. The dealer spins a small ball in the opposite direction of thespinning wheel. There are a number of series in roulette that have special names attached tothem. Voisins ("Neighbors") - This is a name for the numbers which liebetween 22 and 25 on the wheel including 22 and 25 themselves. The series is22,18,29,7,28,12,35,3,26,0,32,15,19,4,21,2,25 (on a single zero wheel) Quint Bet - Pays 6 to 1. The only possiblefive number grouping in the Roulette layout is 0-00-1-2-3. Double Street (SixNumber) Bets - Pay 5 to 1. Place a chip in between streets that are side byside to get all six numbers in the double streets. Column Bets- Pay 2 to 1. Place a chip in a box at the end of one of three columns.
