In 1842, fellow Frenchmen Françoisand Louis Blanc added the "0" to the roulette wheel in order toincrease house odds. There are 2 types of roulette, American andEuropean. The European roulette wheel is divided into 37 slots, numbered 1 through 36,plus 0. Each player isassigned different color of chip, allowing the dealer differentiate bets andmatch them to the right players.chips are worthless at the other tablesin the same casino, so do not bother trying to stack them under your blackjackchips or anything foolish like that. Roulette is a casino and gambling game. If a player bets on a single number and wins, the payout is35 to 1. The bet itself is returned, so in total it is multiplied by 36. The table layout consists of areaswhich represent a number or series of numbers. Bets are placed on these numbersby putting chips on the appropriate areas. The odds vary depending upon the specific type bet. The game uses a special wheel, a betting layout, andchips.
