About Roulette
The first form of roulette was devised in 17th centuryFrance, by the mathematician Blaise Pascal, who was supposedly inspired by hisfascination with perpetual motion devices. In 1842, fellow Frenchmen Françoisand Louis Blanc added the "0" to the roulette wheel in order toincrease house odds. Some call roulette the "King of Casino Games", probably becauseit was associated with the glamour of the casinos in Monte Carlo. Standard American roulette rules have the table usedifferent chips than other table games at the same casino. Roulette is a casino and gambling game. Roulette is a French word meaning"small wheel". There is a green pocket numbered 0. The table layout consists of areaswhich represent a number or series of numbers. A wheel having a corresponding set ofnumbers is spun.
