Roulette Rules
There are 2 types of roulette, American andEuropean. The American roulette is divided in to 38 slots, numbered 1 through 36, plus 0 and00. Standard American roulette rules have the table usedifferent chips than other table games at the same casino. The roulette dealer will exchange yourchips for regular chips when you are done playing. Roulette is a casino and gambling game. A croupier turns a round roulette wheel which has 37 or38 separately numbered pockets in which a ball must land. The main pockets arenumbered from 1 to 36 and alternate between red and black, with number 1 beingred. In most roulette wheels in theUnited States but not in Europe, there is a second zero compartment marked 00,colored green. If a player bets on a single number and wins, the payout is35 to 1. The bet itself is returned, so in total it is multiplied by 36. Roulette is a glamorous and exciting gamethat's easy to play. The main goal of the game is to bet on the slot where theroulette ball falls. European wheels have only the 0 greensection. American wheels have an additional green section marked 00. Roulette is a banking game: all bets are placed against the house. The dealer spins a small ball in the opposite direction of thespinning wheel. After all bets are placed, the croupierspins the wheel in one direction and tosses the small ball in the oppositedirection. Straight-Up Bets - Pay 35 to 1. Place a chip on any single number. SplitBets - Pay 17 to 1. Place a chip in between any two adjacent numbers. Quint Bet - Pays 6 to 1. The only possiblefive number grouping in the Roulette layout is 0-00-1-2-3. Double Street (SixNumber) Bets - Pay 5 to 1. Place a chip in between streets that are side byside to get all six numbers in the double streets. Black, Red, Odd, Even, 1-18,19-36 - Pay 1 to 1.
