Roulette Rules
In 1842, fellow Frenchmen Françoisand Louis Blanc added the "0" to the roulette wheel in order toincrease house odds. (In some forms of early American roulette the double-zero wasreplaced by an American Eagle.) In the 1800s, roulette spread all over bothEurope and the U.S., becoming one of the most famous and most popular casinogames. Some call roulette the "King of Casino Games", probably becauseit was associated with the glamour of the casinos in Monte Carlo. Each player isassigned different color of chip, allowing the dealer differentiate bets andmatch them to the right players.chips are worthless at the other tablesin the same casino, so do not bother trying to stack them under your blackjackchips or anything foolish like that. The main pockets arenumbered from 1 to 36 and alternate between red and black, with number 1 beingred. In most roulette wheels in theUnited States but not in Europe, there is a second zero compartment marked 00,colored green. Aplayer can bet on numbers, combinations, ranges, odds/evens, and colors. The basic rules of Roulette are simple. The table layout consists of areaswhich represent a number or series of numbers. The main goal of the game is to bet on the slot where theroulette ball falls. When Atlantic City rules are used in Roulette: For any even-money bets,if the ball lands on 0 or 00, half of the amount of any even-money bet isreturned to you. Roulette is a banking game: all bets are placed against the house. Oneof the thing you should know is how the table minimum works. All players placetheir bets. When the ball comes to rest in one of the slots, the dealer willcall out the winning number and settle all bets. After all bets are placed, the croupierspins the wheel in one direction and tosses the small ball in the oppositedirection. The ball comes to rest on one number – the winning number for thespin.
