About Roulette Game
In 1842, fellow Frenchmen Françoisand Louis Blanc added the "0" to the roulette wheel in order toincrease house odds. (In some forms of early American roulette the double-zero wasreplaced by an American Eagle.) In the 1800s, roulette spread all over bothEurope and the U.S., becoming one of the most famous and most popular casinogames. Some call roulette the "King of Casino Games", probably becauseit was associated with the glamour of the casinos in Monte Carlo. Standard American roulette rules have the table usedifferent chips than other table games at the same casino. Roulette is a casino and gambling game. A croupier turns a round roulette wheel which has 37 or38 separately numbered pockets in which a ball must land. The basic rules of Roulette are simple. The odds vary depending upon the specific type bet. The main goal of the game is to bet on the slot where theroulette ball falls. The game uses a special wheel, a betting layout, andchips. The wheel is divided into 38 (American) or 37 (European) sections, eachof which has walls to hold a small ball where it lands after the wheel is spun. The sections are numbered from 1 to 36, (half red and half black, half odd andhalf even) plus a green section marked 0. European wheels have only the 0 greensection. American wheels have an additional green section marked 00. All players placetheir bets. The dealer spins a small ball in the opposite direction of thespinning wheel. Players make bets by placingchips in various locations on the table. The ball comes to rest on one number – the winning number for thespin. They contain a total of eight numbers, theOrphans comprising 17,34,6 and the Orphelins being 1,20,14,31,9. Straight-Up Bets - Pay 35 to 1. Place a chip on any single number.
