About Roulette
The first form of roulette was devised in 17th centuryFrance, by the mathematician Blaise Pascal, who was supposedly inspired by hisfascination with perpetual motion devices. Some call roulette the "King of Casino Games", probably becauseit was associated with the glamour of the casinos in Monte Carlo. The European roulette wheel is divided into 37 slots, numbered 1 through 36,plus 0. The roulette dealer will exchange yourchips for regular chips when you are done playing. Roulette is a French word meaning"small wheel". There is a green pocket numbered 0. The bet itself is returned, so in total it is multiplied by 36. Bets are placed on these numbersby putting chips on the appropriate areas. The main goal of the game is to bet on the slot where theroulette ball falls. The game uses a special wheel, a betting layout, andchips. Theaddition of the 00 section greatly increases the odds in favor of the house. If Nevada rules are in force, you lose the entire even-moneybet on 0 or 00. Numbers 1-18 are considered the lows; numbers 19-36 are thehighs. Oneof the thing you should know is how the table minimum works. If you play black-red, odd/evenor high-low, you must place the table minimum for each & every bet. All players placetheir bets.
